The only thing that stays constant...
In the next month, a lot of things are going to change for me, but two primary things leap out.
I'm moving for the first time in 7.5 years. For some people this isn't such a big deal, but I have lived in this apartment building longer than I have lived in any single location in my life. My father worked in an industry that moved him around quite a bit for the 12 years my parents were together. Later, while living with my mother, I found myself living in many different places while she looked for an affordable place to stay.
I'm excited about my new place: it's a fair sized 3-floor townhome, it's a short walk to work, and the current tenants even created a darkroom in the basement. It also has enough room for me and the other big change in my life... a puppy!
Just last night, I went to meet the young lad that will soon become a big part of my life! He's a 7-week old Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever (generally called a Toller) who is seriously cute!
I'll take him home for good once I have moved in. Until then, the breeder is taking him home to live amongst family.
I'll post pictures soon!
