It's official
After some registration details going back and forth, I am fairly confident that my pup will be officially registered this week.
Here he is in all his glory: KijabeWinds Thane of Cawdor
Doesn't he look regal?
His call name is Finnegan (commonly referred to as Finney, Finn or NO!). He has proven to be a good student when there are treats around, and a very bad boy when it comes to jumping up on the bed.
So far, he has attracted the attention of everyone that walks within a block of him, including people that actually slow down in their cars to take a look as they drive by.
He's very playful and loves to romp around after any twig or branch that may have had the misfortune of falling in his path. He has also developed an interesting habit: he absolutely loves cigarette butts. He can seem to sense one from an impossible distance, zero in and have it in his mouth before I have a chance to swoop down and pick it up. If nothing else, the neighbourhood will be free of discarded smokes before the end of the month.
Now, I recognize that it's a little strange that a dog named after a famous Scot has an Irish name, but we live in a multicultural world. So, Finney is the ambassador of goodwill for the British Isles. From Canada.
